The company officially started in the spring of 1999 following a long thinking process. The two shareholders, Caroline Morin, a graduate of McGill University, and Thomas Arsenault, a Master’s degree holder in Education, decided to join their passion, their resources and their efforts to put on the market this unique product. Caroline is an agronomist who has a vast knowledge and understanding of animal behaviour. Thomas has a strong expertise in management.

Both shareholders believe that the most important thing to assure a great quality of life is a healthy diet. They transferred this philosophy to their cats and dogs by feeding them a diet of non-modified ingredients. Only benefits were observed with the animals that have been with them since the beginning. Therefore, since 1990, more than 100 dogs from 3 generations and about 50 cats were raised without ever consuming industrial food. An idea was born, which was to promote this high quality feeding habit to other cat and dog owners.

They conceived a work plan and subscribed it, like many other contractors, to the contest "Entrepreneurs à tout âge". They wanted to know if their plan was good. The recognition was immediate and the word spread quickly both locally and provincially.

Following fourteen months of effort, the equivalent to 4000 hours of work, AA2000 was born. Why? Because they believed in it. They now have loyal and fully satisfied clients.
